kick off sneep Erlangen

Do you want to make a difference alongside your studies? Do you want to promote sustainability issues? Maybe you already have an idea for a project that should definitely be implemented?
Then come to the sneep Erlangen Kick-Off on 16.05 at 18:30.
We will meet at Kochstraße 6a, room 00.6.
Drinks (beer, soda) and snacks will be provided.
In our local group, every project and every idea is considered conceivable and feasible – the only thing that counts is the connection to sustainability and/or business and corporate ethics. In this way, we want to convey that questions around ethics and sustainable business start on an individual level and end on a global level.

University elections at FAU

As every year, the university elections are coming up soon after the start of the semester, during which the student convent and the student faculty councils and student representatives of the faculties will be elected.
Nominations can be submitted until May 9th, so if you want to stand for election you have to hurry up and get in contact with an existing list or found your own list.
The election proposals will then be reviewed by the election committee, and all approved lists will then be published on the FAU page for the university elections on May 23.
If you do not have time to vote at all during the election, you can apply for a postal vote until 06.07. Otherwise, the election will take place electronically from 27.06. to 04.07.2022 from or until 9 a.m., so you can cast your vote digitally during this time.
In addition, there will be polling stations on the university campus where you can cast your vote (also electronically), the results of the election will then be announced directly on 04.07.
How exactly the election works is explained to you by Büsra in our video this week.
So that you are better informed who you want to vote for, there will also be a university election compass and other actions/events, of course we will keep you informed and inform you as soon as concrete dates are fixed.
But the most important thing is that you vote at all, because only with a high voter turnout are the people really represented in the committees that the masses want to have there!

365 € ticket – signatures for citizens’ petition

Since the beginning of last week, students in Erlangen and Nuremberg, initiated by AK Semesterticket, have been collecting signatures for the introduction of a 365€ ticket for students as well.
The goal is to make the semester ticket cheaper for all students and to adapt it to the rates that apply to school students and trainees.
The request still needs political pressure, which is to be generated with the help of a citizens’ petition demanded by these signatures. For this in Erlangen about 900 signatures and for Nuremberg about 4000 signatures are needed. More information can be found here.
Provided that you did not sign yet you should catch up that as fast as possible.
Signatures will be collected until at least 06.05. from 10:00 to 14:00 in Erlangen on the Red Square of the Technical Faculty and in front of the Langemarkmensa in the city center, as well as at several locations in Nuremberg, including the WiSo, Mensa Insel Schütt, on Regensburger Straße and the Mensataria Ohm. If you can help collecting signatures, just contact us in the form.
