Armaments research despite civil clause?!

Presentation on May 6th, 2022 at 6:15 p.m. Großer Hörsaal Bismarckstr. 1A (ER)

The FAU has a civil clause since 2016. So far so good. But how can it be that armaments-related research is still happening at our university? And what exactly is a civil clause? And (how) could armaments research be effectively prevented?

We want to answer these and many other questions in our presentation. We present the civil clause principle and various types of implementation, and classify the FAU regulation in a nationwide comparison.

Afterwards there is room for discussion on how things can be done better.

The lecture is dedicated to the campaign #FAUabrüsten!
