Virtual Long Night of Writing on March 2, 2023

The worldwide campaign “The Long Night Against Procrastination″ is dedicated to academic writing once a year – always on the first Thursday in March.
The University Library is participating in this action since 2017 and invites you to this event under the customized moniker “Long Night of Writing”.
The next Long Night of Writing will take place in virtual form on March 2, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
There are a few new additions to the program, such as an offer from FSV Phil (“Trick 17: Tipps von Studi zu Studi”) or from FAUgesund, but also “exotic” courses on writing applications (Career Service).

AG Medizin & Menschenrechte is looking for student interpreters

We at AG Medizin & Menschenrechte support people who have no papers or no access to medical care due to homelessness by providing them with contacts to doctors, making appointments for them or even accompanying them to their appointments. Since we also work a lot with people who come from different countries in this context, communication is sometimes a bit difficult. Especially when it comes to describing or explaining medical problems. For this reason we are looking for students who have foreign language skills and ideally also medical knowledge from their studies. First, we are simply looking for potential contact persons for different languages, in case we care for people who need medical help and speak one of these languages. We would like to create a list that we could manage as a WG and then make contact with.

Kick-Off Balcony PV volunteer group

Students Obachd! 🙂

You want to make a big contribution to the energy transition without much effort and with fun? The student group ETG and the ClimateHub Erlangen, are starting a volunteer balcony solar consultation at the beginning of the year, following the example of Darmstadt, and we’d love to have you join us! In Darmstadt there is an initiative of ~30 young people who have already ensured the installation of over 1000 new solar panels last year through advice and info events. So we thought, that must be possible in Erlangen, too. After all, solar is not just for homeowners.

Are you interested in joining us? Then just come to our kick-off meeting on Jan. 24 at 6 p.m. in room 04.023 in Cauerstraße 7 – no prior knowledge necessary! Rene, a former FAU student, helped start the balcony solar consulting in Darmstadt and will present the concept. Afterwards we will discuss the plan for Erlangen together and end the evening comfortably in a pub. Come by, we are looking forward to it!

Best wishes,
Your balcony solar project
