Course leader announcement

We are looking for dedicated course leaders for our free parent-child courses for children aged 0-6 years.

What are TEOLEO® discovery courses?
The TEOLEO® discovery courses give parents inspiration on how to encourage their children’s natural urge to discover in a playful way.
In our free parent-child courses, they try out ideas for participation within 4-6 weeks.

What awaits you?
  • Plenty of room for independent and creative work
  • Course leader training and pedagogical support

Zoom chat: Studying with a disability

Studying can present a wide range of challenges for people with physical and mental disabilities. In a relaxed atmosphere, the Zoom chat on 25 March at 4 p.m. will provide a digital space for networking and exchanging tips and tricks about studying with disabilities. AIESEC Volunteer Projects Abroad

Studentenwerk helps Ukrainian students

The current situation in Ukraine has not left students unscathed. In accordance with our mission, we want to help and are now offering Ukrainian students fast and uncomplicated assistance within the scope of our possibilities. 
 
The assistance is as follows:
  • Until further notice, needy students from Ukraine will receive up to 50 euros per month on their FAUcard (or the maximum amount that can still be charged to the respective card (card limit 99 euros)). To do so, these students must write an email to ukrainehilfe@werkswelt.de; they will receive a reply immediately describing the exact application procedure.
  • The Psychological Counselling Service will be offering special telephone consultation hours for Ukrainian students from Friday, 4 March: Wednesdays 9-10am and Fridays 14-15pm. In addition, in about 2 weeks there will be a group offer accompanied by our psychologists, preferably in presence. This counselling is free of charge, the usual counselling fees are waived. If necessary, the counselling capacity will be further expanded.
  • Ukrainian students who live with us in a hall of residence can now arrange generous rent deferrals. Please contact the responsible WohnService for this.
In addition, we hope that the BAföG will be opened up to Ukrainian students. We have already asked the State Ministry for Science and the Arts about this and are actively campaigning for it! This depends on the officially recognised refugee status (in the sense of the Geneva Refugee Convention) of the persons concerned.

Sprat still wants *You*

We are still looking for two more members for the Stuve Speakers Council (Sprat for short). We work closely together in a group of 8 students at weekly meetings to advocate for the interests of the students on a wide range of topics and are also the main point of contact in this regard. This includes meetings with the university administration, cooperation with other committees, a lot of email correspondence, press releases, and much more. As such, being able to communicate in German is sadly essential.

You don’t have to be a member of the student council or one of the FSVs. We welcome all those who are interested, for example those who have already worked in an FSI or a working group and have become interested in more co-determination at the university. The students in the Speaker’s Council are legitimised in a meeting of the Student Council and have to introduce themselves to the council. The next meeting will take place on 21.04 at 2pm.

You are welcome to take a look at our meeting via zoom on 25.04. at 7 pm to get a first impression. If you are interested, you are welcome to contact us by e-mail without obligation. We will be happy to answer any questions and tell you more about our work – whether by email, at one of our meetings, or in a separate meeting.
