January 10th, 2024

Dear fellow students,

The new year has arrived and the cookie jars are slowly emptying. The festive season went by faster than you could have hoped. You've barely had a chance to relax a little before the end of the semester comes knocking again.

The winter break is also noticeable in the Stuve, as not that much has happened. Nevertheless, today we want to give you a neat little update on everything that has happened since the last newsletter. We've also included some interesting links and other news for you further below.

Thank you for clicking in, have a look around and don't start studying for the exams too late ;)

Best regards,
Christian and Gwyn

News from the Stuve

Even though the university closed for the Christmas vacations and most of us were not on site, we did not let the time pass in vain. In addition to the much-needed time to complete long-delayed tasks and restore some order, we evaluated the feedback from university groups and are continuing our efforts to re-regulate the examination count.Read more...

In memory of 50 years without a constituted student body in Bavaria

The 21st December marked the 50th anniversary of the abolition of the constituted student body in Bavaria. This makes us the only German federal state in which the student body, as the largest status group at universities, is structurally disempowered and its representation is dependent on the goodwill of its university instead of having a fundamental and nationwide right to exist. Together with the other student representatives in Bavaria, we are therefore campaigning relentlessly for its reinstatement.Read more...

Farewell from the Speaker's Council

Hello, Due to my semester abroad in Lund (Sweden) starting in January, I left the Speakers Council and will only continue to manage RefLust and the committees at the Faculty of Natural Sciences from a distance. I've learned a lot and despite my comparatively short time in office, I didn't have the feeling that my work was completely pointless. I would like to thank my fellow Speakers and everyone else I have worked with and wish them every success and lots of fun!

With this in mind: Vi ses och vänliga hälsningar!
