Report a course with more effort than ECTS points

German universities are obliged to constantly review their degree programs in terms of studyability and quality. However, as there are still courses that demand more time and effort from students than their ECTS credits would allow, there is a need for further monitoring options.

In the form below, you can report courses to the Department of Teaching and Studies at FAU for which you consider the current expected workload to be too high compared to the ECTS points to be obtained. The KMK defines an appropriate ratio as follows:

§ 8 Leistungspunktesystem
(1) 1 Jedem Modul ist in Abhängigkeit vom Arbeitsaufwand für die Studierenden eine bestimmte Anzahl von ECTS-Leistungspunkten zuzuordnen. […] 3 Ein Leistungspunkt entspricht einer Gesamtarbeitsleistung der Studierenden im Präsenz- und Selbststudium von 25 bis höchstens 30 Zeitstunden.

(Meaning: One credit point corresponds to a total of 25 to a maximum of 30 hours of work by students in attendance and self-study)
