New working group: “Improving bicycling infrastructure at FAU” In the last weeks of 2021, a new student working group was founded to improve the infrastructure for bikes at FAU, like repair/service stations and parking spaces, but also bike lanes. To gather more information about what is required, we want to start a survey among all students and employees at FAU. But there are also some other projects to be realized. We are veryy happy about every person who wants to participate and contribute! You can simply join our Whatsapp-Group.
Ökoplenum
Was ist das Öko-Plenum? Beim Öko-Plenum treffen sich verschiedene Studierendengruppen der FAU, die sich mit Nachhaltigkeit beschäftigen. Es sind nicht alle Gruppen immer vertreten, aber immer einige. Unter anderem sind wir, das ÖkoRef dabei. Es ist der perfekte Ort, wenn ihr euch auch gerne im Bereich Nachhaltigkeit an der Uni betätigen wollt, aber noch nicht genau wisst, in welcher Gruppe. Hier könnt ihr sie kennenlernen!
Meistens treffen sich die Gruppen nach dem Plenum noch für sich getrennt. Auch nach dem Kick-Off wird es ein Meeting des ÖkoRef geben!

Aufgaben
Wir unterstützen nicht nur die Arbeit der verschiedenen ökologischen Initiativen an unserer Universität, sondern verstehen uns als Arbeitsgruppe, welche den studentischen Konvent in Sachen Nachhaltigkeit mit Infos und Inputs versorgt, und organisieren selbst Veranstaltungen, um das Thema Nachhaltigkeit in das Bewusstsein der Studis zu holen. So haben wir zum Beispiel den ersten Stuve–Studi-Flohmarkt im Sommersemester 2019 veranstaltet, den wir aufgrund seines großen Erfolgs in diesem Wintersemester erneut ausrichten möchten. Der Spaßfaktor kommt bei uns also auch nie zu kurz.
Darüber hinaus möchten wir als ÖkoRef interessierte und engagierte Studierende untereinander vernetzen und die Zusammenarbeit mit anderen studentischen Initiativen oder der Zivilgesellschaft, wie der Stadt Erlangen, fördern.

Wir treffen uns unregelmäßig aktuell online in zoom. Dort darf natürlich jede*r teilnehmen, neue Gesichter sind immer gerne gesehen. Meldet euch am besten vorher kurz per Mail bei uns. Gerne könnt ihr auch am regelmäßigen Ökoplenum mit anderen Hochschulgruppen teilnehmen.

We in the Working Group for Ecology and Sustainability – ÖkoRef for short – are committed to the sustainable design of university life. As students of various faculties, we have a scope for actions that we use to integrate topics such as environmental awareness and social transformation into everyday university life.
Tasks and Current Topics
Not only do we support the work of the various ecological initiatives at our university, we also see ourselves as a working group that provides the student counsil with information and inputs on sustainability, and we organise events ourselves to raise awareness of sustainability among the students. For example, we organised the first Stuve student flea market in the summer semester of 2019, which we would like to organise again this winter semester due to its great success. The fun won’t be left behind with us either.
In addition, as ÖkoRef we would like to connect interested and committed students with each other and promote cooperation with other student initiatives or civil society, such as the city of Erlangen.
