Faculty Council

In this body, faculty-wide issues are discussed, for example

• Study and examination regulations of all study programmes of the faculty
• Promotion openings
• Establishing new courses of study
• Appointment of professors
• Appointment of representatives to the committees of the faculty

In addition, the Faculty Council elects the Dean, his or her deputy, the Vice Deans and the Deans of Studies. In addition to four representatives from the ranks of the students, 12 professors, four research assistants and two representatives of the other staff members sit on this committee.
