1000 Miles Run – Technolgy without Borders

Dear fellow students, dear running enthusiasts, dear couch potatoes,

But I would walk 500 Miles and you would walk 500 more…
1000 miles don’t walk themselves, 1000 beers don’t drink themselves, 1000 delicious grilled sausages and meatless alternatives don’t eat themselves, the 1000 cool prizes of the raffle don’t win themselves, 1000 charitable projects don’t finance themselves.
That’s why we need you, not your money, not your education, just you and your beefy calves.

On 3.7.2022 from 11:00 the 1000 Miles Run – the fundraising run of Technik ohne Grenzen e. V. will take place at the sports ground of FAU with great weather, sunshine and good mood.

News from the Stuve

Here we will continue to present you with the latest news from the student representatives so that you can see what is actually happening.

We simply can’t avoid the topic of mobility at the moment, and we don’t want to. This Tuesday, the semester ticket working group presented the results of the online survey conducted a few weeks ago at a press conference. Several representatives from state and local politics were present, as well as the press. The data presented should help support the efforts for a cheaper semester ticket for students in the VGN area. In total, we as students can save up to €100 on the implementation, be sure to check out the AK Semesterticket’s Instagram if you want to stay up to date.

But other committees and topics are also being worked on at FAU. At the moment there are efforts to reactivate the AK Zivilklausel, if you are interested in getting involved, please come to the next meeting.

This Friday the 9th regular meeting of the Student Convention will take place at 6:30 pm, you can get an overview of the current topics here. The results of the FAU-St survey 2021 will also be presented there, check it out if you are interested.

This year’s university elections will take place from 27.06 to 04.07, the lists have been drawn up and the election compass should go online in the next few days, if you want to get an overview of the candidates’ attitudes, this is certainly the quickest way.

The Speaker’s Council is also dealing with some new topics at the moment, so we met with the FAU’s anti-Semitism officer, Prof. Dr. Katharina Herkendell, who was newly created last year, for a discussion where we talked about her work and mutual support.

We have arrived at the time of the summer festivals and almost no FSI or student university group misses the opportunity to spend a good time together with students from their own and other departments, so we can only advise you to also drop by at other events and get to know some new people.

But you can also get involved with us in general; the pandemic has caused major cuts in student representation and we are always happy when new people want to get involved in the many committees. Why don’t you come and have a look at the various committee meetings or the AKs/departments!

Presentation of the FAU-St Survey 2021 at the next Convention meeting

The results of the FAU-St Survey 2021 have been published for some time now, and this Friday they will be officially presented to the student representatives at the 9th regular meeting of the Student Convention. If you’re interested, come along to the meeting, which starts at 18:30 on Zoom, you can find the access link here.

If you would prefer to view the full final report, you should have a look at this.
